While similarly shaped to other PRS guitars like the Custom 24, the 408 features a pickup system with unique coil-tapping functions.  This system was originally used on a Private Stock limited edition and entered regular production in 2012.  Like other PRS guitars, the 408 is produced with a number of options that impact the value. This example features a maple top (MT) though PRS also produces this model with a plain top as the 408 Standard.
