John Lennon famously played a Gibson J-160E. Its legacy has been sealed ever since. This reissue model is sometimes called the the John Lennon Peace model.
Though there was a 2009 special edition (750 made) which came with a COA and a later John Lennon 70th model made in 2010, pricing is roughly the same as the standard reissue.
