Fender Standard Stratocaster 2009 Daphne Blue

In 1990, Fender Musical Instruments began producing a Standard Stratocaster in their then-new Mexico factory. Ever since, these made-in-Mexico (MIM) Strats have represented some of the best value and playability on the market. 

Originally made with Poplar bodies, construction switched to Alder bodies in 2002. In 2006 shielded body cavities and a thicker bridge were introduced.
