Not to be confused with an earlier Epiphone archtop Coronet, the solidbody Coronet rolled out after the Gibson acquisition of Epiphone in 1958. The Coronet is similarly shaped to a number of Epiphone solidbodies including the Crestwood and Wilshire, but only had one pickup in the bridge position. 

Years of Production: 1958 - 1969

Unique to this Year: 1962 was the first year the Coronet was available with an optional tremolo system.

Design Elements: Single P-90 pickups, volume and tone controls, combination tailpiece/bridge

Finish Specification: Cherry was the standard finish for Coronets in 1962.
