Fender Telecaster Bass 1972 Black
Reverb Estimated Used Price Range
- $1,600 — $2,200
The Telecaster Bass rolled out in 1968 as essentially a reissue of the original Precision Bass from the early '50s. Like the original P Bass, the Telecaster Bass was introduced with a single-coil pickup, thru-body construction, and a slab-style body. Some other details differed including the use of a Maple fingerboard cap instead of the single-piece Maple neck of the original. In 1972, Fender changed the Telecaster bass to include a humbucker pickup not unlike a Tele Deluxe guitar from that year.
