Released in 1964 with Marshalls growing line-up of non-combo amplifiers, the 1960 4x12 remains one of Marshalls most widely used cabinets. These cabs were originally designed to handle 60 watts each. This was increased to 75 watts in 1965 and then to a full 100 watts in 1970. In 1980, Marshall added either A or B to the model to indicate slanted or straight respectively.
