Martin D-45 1996 Natural

Reverb Estimated Used Price Range

  • $4,400$6,000

Martin Style 45 guitars originated from a set of custom orders in the early 20th century. Less than 100 Style 45 dreadnoughts were made from 1933 until 1942, and these guitars are considered the holy grail of vintage acoustics. The legendary status of the D-45 prompted Martin to bring the model back in 1968 (which required the firm to hire a specialist inlay artist). The D-45 is distinguished from other Martin dreadnoughts in its use of extremely ornate cosmetic details including unique binding and hexagonal abalone inlays.
