The Rickenbacker 360-12 was introduced as 12-string version of the 360 in 1964, along with a number of cosmetic and hardware updates to the series. The 366-12 convertible was introduced two years later as yet another variation on the 360 design. The 366 featured a unique converter comb which could be used to engage or disengage the extra six strings. While the normal 360 and 360-12 are still in production, the 366 only lasted till 1974.
