The Rhodes Mark II Stage 88 was manufactured between 1979 and 1983, back when CBS decided to drop the Fender name from their Rhodes electric pianos. Other than an all-black finish, it was identical to the Mark I model. It featured 88 weighted keys, molded all-plastic hammers, Bass Boost and Volume controls, and a mono output. Earlier versions featured wooden keys, but during 1980 they were replaced with plastic keys. Unlike the Suitcase version, the Stage version of the Rhodes Mark II 88 did not come with a built-in amplifier.
