The Neumann U 47 fet Collector's Edition is an extremely faithfull reissue of the original U 47 fet which was produced from 1969 -1986. Subtle differences include the cardioid symbol on the front of the mic being flipped upside down, and a different brand of FET.
A switchable bass rolloff and -10dB pad between the capsule and amplifier are on the rear of the mic. An additional post-amplifier -6dB pad is on the bottom of the microphone near the XLR connector.
