The Avalon VT-747SP is a dual channel optical compressor with tube amplifiers paired with a transistor-based graphic equalizer. A variable saturation/drive function introduces harmonic distortion to the signal. Avalon's "TSP" (Twin Signal Path) circuitry allows the user to switch between tube and transistor based signal paths.
This Anniversary Edition comes with black faceplate rather than the standard silver.
