The Gibson J-60 was a later relative to the J-45, J-55 and J-40. Nicknamed "the bone crusher," this powerful square-shoulder dreadnought was introduced with Indian Rosewood back and sides, a solid Spruce top and an Ebony fingerboard. A vintage sunburst finish became optional in 1997, as well as different binding types.

A Gibson Custom Shop limited reissue of the J-60 was produced in 2013 which reimagined the model as an antique piece, making it essentially a totally separate model. These specimens go for nearly double the original '90s specimens.

Years of Production: 1992 - 1999
