Adapting their hit Prophet 5 synth architecture to a lower-cost monosynth format, Dave Smith and Sequential Circuits debuted the Pro One in 1981. Featuring a single voice with two VCOs, a 4-pole low pass filter, two ADSR envelopes, onboard arpeggiator, a basic sequencer and very flexible modulation routing for a compact synth of its time.
