Unpopular models upon their initial release in 1968, growing demand for the original Pink Paisley and Blue Floral Telecasters throughout the late 70s and 80s led Fender to reissue them in 1985. The reissues were crafted in Japan steadily through the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. First-run reissues from the 80s often fetch a higher price than later models.
