The Fender Bullet was a short-lived replacement for the Mustang and Musicmaster models, produced from 1980 - 1983. The original version was a single cutaway, with an offset double cutaway produced in 1983 only. It had a 25.5 inch scale length (same as Stratocaster) and was produced in the US, after a brief production run in Korea in 1981. The designer of the Fender Bullet, John Page, still works in the Fender Custom Shop.
The later version was available with either two or three single coil pickups, or a single or double humbucker configuration. The S-3 was the three single coil model.
