The Stingray guitar was one of several instruments designed by Leo Fender for Music Man starting in 1975. The guitar version of the Stingray never caught on to the extent that the Stringray bass did, and was discontinued in 1982. Two version of the Stingray guitar were produced. The Stringray I had a flatter fingerboard while the Stingray II had a rounder radius.
