The short-lived XK series followed up on the DMZ series of aluminum-neck guitars from Kramer. In this period, Kramer began shifting from aluminum to wooden neck construction which contributed to the quick discontinuation of the XK series. There are Kramer collectors, however, who are primarily interested in the earlier aluminum designs.
