This Gibson reissue was released in 1997 as a recreation of the first year of Les Paul production. The '52 Reissue includes features that predate many of the Les Paul innovations that would occur in the '50s. While these guitars were in production, a number were hand aged by luthier Tom Murphy. These guitars sold for more than the regular production reissues.
