Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible for a grant?
All 501c3 certified youth music education programs and nonprofits serving children and young adults from infancy through early adolescence are eligible and encouraged to apply. Grants must be used for the acquisition of musical instruments. Please ensure that your organization meets the criteria above before applying for a grant. If your organization is not 501c3 certified but has a fiscal sponsor who is, please reach out to reverbgives@reverb.com
When does your grant period open? How can I stay notified?
Application windows open once per quarter for 30 days. Once the application window closes, application review begins. To be notified of when the application window is nearing closure or reopening, sign-up for the Reverb Gives newsletter above.
When will I hear back about my grant application?
A representative from the Reverb Gives team will reach out to you shortly after applications close each cycle.
If our organization already received a grant, can we apply again?
Yes! We encourage you to reapply. Applications for past recipients will go live on the same day as standard applications. Past recipients are eligible to reapply 6 months after their last grant has been issued.
How many times can previous recipients reapply?
Past recipients are eligible to reapply 6 months after their last grant has been issued and there is no limit to how many times past recipients can reapply. If you have been waitlisted please see below.
Our program was approved but you were unable to issue a grant this quarter. What next?
While we try to help as many youth music education programs as possible, we are only able to provide a finite group of organizations an award per quarter. If your organization was waitlisted, you do not need to resubmit an application. A member of our team will get back to you when the grant period reopens.
My question wasn’t answered. Who can I reach out to?
Please send all questions that are not answered in the FAQ to reverbgives@reverb.com
Every time a sale is made on Reverb, from a pack of strings to a ‘56 Les Paul, more students get more access to more instruments.
