With wide traditional lathing and the nuanced of a completely hammered bow, the Zildjian 14" K Constantinople Hi-Hats stand as one of the flagship examples of how warm a cymbal can. Crafted by a select team of master cymbal smiths trained in the old-world Turkish production techniques, each cymbal on this series features its individual weight written in grams under the bow for no two pairings that are exactly alike. Loved by jazz musicians for decades, the Constantinople hat's sedate, organic character finds equal footing in blues, country, or pop.

Moving off of rock/fusion hats to something more jazzy and I was concerned about losing too much volume with lighter cymbals. These hats deliver that dark, warm chomp but still have a crispness about them that delivers in a very nice, controllable way. Perfect! I love them. But man, are they expensive. More Information

Developed as the company's flagship series, K Constantinople cymbals are crafted to emulate the handmade cymbals Zildjian produced in the early 20th Century while still in Turkey. Designed to develop a more complex character as they age, each cymbal is hand-hammered, producing unique attributes even between cymbals of the same size and model.

Constantinople Hi-Hats feature a light weight, pin lathing and spread hammering to produce a dark, full-bodied “chick” and warm presence.
