Overview
Tobias started in 1977 out of Orlando, Florida. After several moves and being purchased by Gibson, they continue to produce import and US-made basses.
The Growler series offers offset, double cutaway electric basses with bolt-on necks in four and five-string configurations. The GR4 featured a Maple/Purpleheart neck with a wenge fingerboard and a single Bartolini quad-coil pickup using active electronics (18 volt preamp).
