About this listing
This is an all solid wood (Sprice/Sapale) dreadnaught from Taylor's Acoustic Series. This series was produced between 2006-2012 as a "pure acoustic, guitar with elegant simplicity" as distinguished from the 310 CE models. Details include ivoroid binding, abalone rosette and position-dots.I took this one in trade, and it is now time to move it on.Plays and sounds great. The only blem is a very small indent which did not penetrate the finish (see pic). This particular guitar was made in October, 2010.Ships in a generic hard shell case. Here is what AI has to say about the DN3:The Taylor DN3 is a highly regarded, all-solid-wood American-made acoustic guitarfrom Taylor's 300 Series. Known as a "sleeper" model that offers incredible value, itfeatures a traditional Dreadnought body shape with a Sitka Spruce gloss top, Sapeleback and sides, and an ebony fretboard. It typically excels at flatpicking andstrumming.Key Specs & FeaturesBody Shape: Dreadnought (DN)—provides powerful projection, booming bass, andplenty of volume for cutting through in a band mix.Top: Solid Sitka SpruceBack & Sides: Solid SapeleNeck & Fretboard: Tropical Mahogany neck with a bound Ebony fingerboard (1 3/4"nut width).Bracing: Forward-shifted pattern that delivers a warmer, deeper bassresponse. Why Players Love ItUnlike the modern 310 series, the DN3 does not include a pickguard, giving it a veryclean, traditional, and sleek look. It is known for its incredible headroom, articulation, and the "cannon-like" volume it produces without muddying up themidrange.Current Market ValueThe DN3 is a discontinued model (typically produced between 2006 and 2012) butremains a favorite on the secondary market. Used models generally sell between $900and $1,150, depending on condition and whether or not an aftermarket pickup wasinstalled. You can check current secondary market availability using Reverb.
