Overview

Taylor's 600 Series uses Maple for its back and sides paired with a Sitka Spruce top. The 612c was a cutaway Grand Concert-sized entry in the 600 Series, building upon the original Taylor 612 that was produced between 1984 and 1992. In 1998, the 612c was discontinued in favor of a version with onboard electronics, the 612ce.

Some versions of this model feature a Florentine (sharp) cutaway rather than Venetian (soft).

*1998 was the final year of production for this model. Specimen pictured is from 1997.
