Overview

The Rickenbacker 340 was essentially a three pickup version of the popular 330, and the 345 a version of the 340 with a vibrato tailpiece. Originally, the 345 and 340 were modeled after Rickenbacker's Capri guitars of the '50s with sharper, smaller horns. The body was updated to its more iconic style in 1961.
