Overview

Peavey is one of the few American manufacturers still run by its original founder. Hartley Peavey started building guitars and amp systems in Mississippi in 1965, and production has continued there and overseas since.

The Wolfgang Series was designed in collaboration with Edward Van Halen after his signature Peavey achieved success. This signature endorsement lasted from 1996 - 2004. Models in this series came with a number of variations including stop tailpiece/Floyd Rose tremolo, flame/qulit top, and flat/arch top.

The Wolfgang Special was the lower end version of the series, with a flat top rather than an arched top.

Body Style: Double cutaway off-set solid body

Wood Composition: Quilted Maple top over Basswood body, Maple neck and fingerboard

Design Elements: Dual humbuckers, 25.5" scale, single volume knob, Floyd Rose locking tremolo with drop D knob
