If you have a 7 band eq you might get some decent tones, way too thin for my taste.

I Love Peavey Gear ! Have used &admired their stuff since 60s'. Touing/record with my mentor & Friend Doc Watson in mid 70s, before acoustic-elecric amps, I played a "gut string" Alvarez w/Barcus Berry thru a Peavey 2 X10 amp & got an UNBELEVABLE sound. But on the Piranha, there was no mention of it…

This thing is badazz! For such a small thing it packs serious wallop. Clean tones, why did you buy a peavey if you wanted clean. This isnt quite as full as a full 6505, but for 20 watts it kickin names and takin ass all day!

Properly named this little thing has TEETH--does distortion well -- clean not so much but who cares--I have "clean" amps-- the size of a large pedal-- easy to take with you -- easy to swap tubes to try different "flavors" will it play Madison Square Garden-- no-- is it a ton of fun in the garage, basement or bedroom....yep! .
