I have chosen the one bronze snare and one solid maple snare to cover all of my music ventures.For your consideration, is this black, Pearl, 6.5, Custom Classic snare with diecast hoops. It's very versatile. From soft sensitivity to rock solid backbeats. You don't have to spend a $1000 to get that "sound."This drum will do that and you won't have to baby it either.
