The OB-XA was Oberheim's flagship Polyphonic synthesizer for the 1980's and the bigger brother to the OB-X. The OB-XA boasts up to 8 voices of analog polyphony making it known for its legendary gigantic lush sound based on the Curtis chips of the 1980's. The OB-XA also offered two switchable filter poles, 120 slots for patch memory, keyboard splitting, unison modes, chord memory, and three separate lfo's. This synth can best be heard in the legendary lead in Van Halen's 'Jump!"
