Overview
The Neumann KM 86 i is a multipattern condenser microphone with two small diaphragm capsules (type KK84) sandwiched back to back and FET electronics -- essentially an FET version of the rare KM 66 tube mic. A three-position switch at the base of the head basket allows the user to switch between cardioid, omnidirectional, and bidirectional. Another switch on the rear of the body enables a -10dB pad.
