Overview

The Moog Opus 3 is analog poly string synthesizer released in 1980. The Opus-3 had 3 distinct sections for strings, brass, and organ alongside of two analog VCF sections, some simple modulation capabilities, an on-board chorus effect and a unique stereo panning effect found rarely, if at all on synthesizers of the time. While perhaps the companies' simplest synthesizer, it does retain the trademark Moog sound and remains a classic vintage string synthesizer.

    great sound synth

  • Great polyphonic analog option

Amazing moog tone, total polyphony and big, fun keys. 24 dB moog filter on the brass, nice vintage digital chorus effect for the strings, stereo panning and a delayable LFO. Add some reverb and it can’t get much better in the pads department.
