About this listing
Here we have a very rare 1994 Martin JC-40. Serial number 551669. The Martin JC-40 was Martin's flagship cutaway model during its 10-year production run. Beginning in 1987 as the J-40MC, and changing to JC-40 in 1989 the guitar features the classic oval sound hole, 16” Jumbo body that’s similar to Martin’s M size but with dreadnought depth, a venetian cut-away, and appointments that mirror styles 35 and 41 in their of thecsensr of the ornate presentation. Less than 1000 of this model were built during those 10 years, which makes them quite a rarity today. This is a particularly well-kept and carefully played guitar with no wear in the finish at all and no cracks or any signs of repair. It would hold up as 9.5 out of 10 in condition. Only a couple of very minor dingettes are all there is to mention. This is a very special offering.
