About this listing
You're looking at a rare Martin Shenandoah model from the late 1980's. Shenandoah parts were made in Japan, then sent for assembly and finishing in Nazareth, Pa. This one features a solid spruce top and gorgeous bird's eye maple back and sides, made of layered woods. This one is a bit of a special one as well because the neck has beautiful flamed mahogany! The guitar plays and sounds great with low action. Factory passive pickup is installed, which does well when paired with a preamp pedal or amplifier. The guitar has some wear, mostly light scratches and some light impressions. There is a small chip on the headstock veneer (pictured) as well as some impressions in the back of the neck. (No cracks in the body.) There are examples of wear in the photos, but the photos don't show every mark that's on the guitar.1989 Shenandoah, parts from Japan, assembled and finished in Nazareth, Pa.Solid spruce topBirds' eye maple back and sidesFlamed Mahogany neckRosewood fretboard and bridge25 1/2" scale length1 11/16" nut widthTortoise pickguard and body bindingGator TSA-Style Hard Case(Video is of the actual guitar being sold)
