Martin DRS2 Road Series Sitka Spruce / Sapele Dreadnought (2012 - 2018)

The Martin DRS2 places the solid wood dreadnought tone this company became famous for within the intermediate price bracket for gigging musicians and those looking to step up from a beginner model. Built with sapele sides and backing and a high-pressure laminate rosewood headstock, the center attraction on the DRS2 is the same solid sitka spruce top found in Martin's higher-end models which produces a crisp response and full character. Rounded out with Fishman Sonitone onboard electronics, the DRS2 can hold its own on the stage and be the perfect companion for fireside jams.

  • Great Way to Get Into the Martin Family

    Verified Purchase

Very solid guitar, even though built in Mexico, has that great, deep, brassy Martin sound. Looks and sounds good without a $1500-2000 price tag to get into the USA version.

  • Every thing I hoped for

Excellent guitar. It was listed as mint and truly was. A 2016 guitar like brand new. Deep, rich tone. True to sound when amplified. Great action. Quality instrument. Love the guitar!

If you are looking for a guitar that you can gig fearlessly, or a studio guitar that works brilliantly, this is a great option. It's not fancy but it has resonance, sustain ... you hear every note in the chord and it has deep bass and crisp trebles with that slight mid-cut you'd expect. I've owned h…

  • Exceeded My Expectations

Beautiful guitar with satin finish and plain lines. But don’t let the simple design and affordable price fool you. The sound on this instrument is true to the Martin insignia: strong, throaty bass and full smooth sound all around. I love this guitar!
