In production since the late '60s, the Martin D-41 Dreadnought acoustic guitar is a higher-end dreadnought that features luxe aesthetic details. Although the wood composition, rosewood for back and sides topped with sitka spruce, is comparable to the D-28, the D-41 sports gorgeous detailing like hexagonal inlays, fancy binding, and gold-plated hardware for models released more recently.

I bought a Martin D-41 brand new in the fall of 2007 and played it almost every day for 10 years. I play bluegrass and gospel music which demands loud acoustic range and this one met every expectation and then some. Only a D-42 or D-45 could sound and look better!
