As part of the Style 28 series of guitars, the Martin 1-28 used Rosewood for its back and sides. Like many early Martin guitars, the 1-28 is of more interest to collectors for historical purposes than as a functional instrument.

Wood Composition: Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, Spruce top, Ebony fingerboard

Design Elements: Square bridge, three-ply back binding, slotted headstock, 12-frets (clear of body), slotted diamond inlays, half herringbone top edges
