In the 1970s, Ibanez began making budget-friendly instruments in its Fujigen factory in Japan that resembled the bigger brands' offerings, which eventually led to a lawsuit. This is one such "Lawsuit-era" model, the Ibanez Firebrand, and is a replica of a '63 Firebird V. It features the same banjo tuners, neck-through mahogany design, mini humbuckers, and Vibrola tailpiece.
