Overview

The Guild D-50 earned itself a special moniker: the Bluegrass Special. Though this dreadnought guitar debuted in 1963, it ran for a couple of decades and experienced a variety of reissues over the years. The original guitars were made from Brazilian rosewood for its back and sides, as well as a spruce top, but swapped over to Indian rosewood in the late '60s, as many acoustic guitars made in America did during that time.
