Overview
The Gibson Southern Jumbo model from the mid-to-late 1960s was a rather profound departure from the original model. These guitars featured a more Martin-like square shoulder body shape, and in 1963 had a plastic bridge, many of which have been replaced for better sound. The rosewood bridge was reintroduced in 1964.
