Overview

Unlike most Gibson semi-hollowbodies which are built in the Memphis Custom Shop, the Midtown series was produced in Nashville. The idea was to offer a semi-hollow guitar with more solid-body like features and sizing. A few different Midtowns have been produced including a P-90 version launched in mid-2012.

light, snappy and more tone than I could have hoped for. There is so much variance in the tone and volume knobs, you can sweep from smooth jazz to heavy prog with a roll of the volume and a solid distortion. Plus the neck and fret work make this guitar very difficult to put down.

Ever guitar has their own unique sound. For the valve the Midtown with P90's has a sweet sound. Personally, I feel that this a fairly versatile guitar which a lot depends on the type of amp that you use. Of course it's not a Gibson ES335 but this still has a tone that can translate different genres of music.
