Overview

The Les Paul Standard has been through its share of changes since the '50s, but remains one of the world's most popular and iconic instruments. From the late '70s onward, the Standard has stayed more or less the same with just some variations in finish and hardware options, as well as the release of various special editions.

1952 - 1960, 1972 - 1975 (as Les Paul Deluxe), 1976 - present 

Body Style: Single cutaway solidbody

Wood Composition: Mahogany body, Maple top, Rosewood fingerboard

Design Elements:  Two humbucker pickups, trapezoid inlays, four control knobs, three-way pickup selector, white pickguard, bound fingerboard, stopbar tailpiece and Tune-o-matic bridge
