Initially released in the late '60s, the Gibson Les Paul Deluxe was a guitar that may have been a bit ahead of its time. The Deluxe appeared in lieu of the Les Paul Standard, until the Standard was revived in '75. With mini-humbuckers instead of PAFs, the Les Paul Deluxe went out of production in the mid-'80s only to be revived in 2005.
