One of Chet Atkins' reasons for moving his endorsement from Gretsch to Gibson was their willingness to indulge his desire to create an innovative nylon string electric guitar. The Gibson Chet Atkins CEC was the result. It has a slightly wider nut than its sister model, the Chet Atkins CE, enabling easier classical and fingerstyle playing.
