About this listing
Gibson USA ’80s Explorer – 2023 – EbonyFor sale is my 2023 Gibson USA ’80s Explorer in Ebony, in excellent condition and complete with its original Gibson hardshell case.I am relisting this item as a previous buyer did not follow through with payment after ordering it.Purchased new from Andertons it has never been gigged and has never left the house. It has seen very little use and has been carefully looked after and stored in its case when not being played. The ’80s Explorer is Gibson's tribute to the Explorers of the era and is based on the popular 1984 model. It combines the iconic Explorer mahogany body with a SlimTaper mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, factory Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners and a pair of Gibson ’80s Tribute humbuckers. The Grover Mini Rotomatics are the correct factory specification for this model, along with the aluminium Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece. [gibson.com]It's a fantastic-looking guitar in Ebony and I'm only selling as part of a rationalisation of my guitar collection.SpecificationManufacturer: Gibson USAModel: ’80s ExplorerYear: 2023Finish: EbonyMade in: USABody: MahoganyNeck: MahoganyNeck profile: SlimTaperFingerboard: Indian RosewoodFingerboard radius: 12"Frets: 22 Medium JumboInlays: Acrylic dotsScale length: 24.75"Nut: Graph TechTuners: Grover Mini RotomaticsNeck pickup: Gibson ’80s Tribute HumbuckerBridge pickup: Gibson ’80s Tribute HumbuckerControls: 2 Volume, Master ToneElectronics: Hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitorsPickup selector: 3-way toggleBridge: Aluminium Nashville Tune-O-MaticTailpiece: Aluminium Stop BarHardware: ChromeOriginal Gibson hardshell case: IncludedCondition: ExcellentGigged: NeverHome use only during my ownershipThese specifications, including the Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, correspond with Gibson's published specification for the ’80s Explorer Ebony.
