Fender Telecaster Bass Guitar

Initially released in 1968, the Fender Telecaster Bass was meant to replace the old P-Bass from the '50s, but the Tele Bass contained a few key differences that evolved even further over time. Although the Tele Bass' earlier iterations had the single-coil pickup customary of the P-Bass, Fender gave the Telecaster Bass a humbucker in 1972, bringing the model closer to that of a Tele Deluxe. A few famous players have picked up the Fender Tele Bass, like ZZ Top's Dusty Hill and Dinosaur Jr's Lou Barlow.
