Fender Stratocaster Maple Sunburst 1975

The period from 1971 to 1981 represents a low point for the Fender Stratocaster. With CBS now fully at the helm some significant changes were made to the instrument, including a move to a three-bolt neck, flat pickup poles (1974 onward), and smaller body contours. Ash bodies and black pickguards became more common factory choices, and overall quality declined.
