2018 Fender Limited Edition Parallel Universe Troublemaker Telecaster Deluxe – Ice Tea BurstOffered here is an exceptionally clean and highly collectible 2018 Fender Limited Edition Parallel Universe Troublemaker Telecaster Deluxe in Ice Tea Burst, serial LE03884.The original 2018 Parallel Universe series represented one of Fender's most interesting limited-production experiments: familiar pieces of Fender DNA were combined into instruments that never existed in the company's traditional catalog. The Troublemaker Telecaster Deluxe was arguably one of the most distinctive guitars of the entire series, blending unmistakable Fender Telecaster architecture with a collection of appointments more commonly associated with classic carved-top, dual-humbucker single-cut guitars.The result is a Telecaster unlike almost anything Fender produced before or since.At its core is a mahogany Telecaster body with a maple top, finished in gorgeous Ice Tea Burst and framed by cream binding. Fender paired it with a mahogany Modern Deep C neck, rosewood fingerboard and 25.5" Fender scale length. A pair of Tim Shaw-designed Shawbucker humbuckers feed a traditional four-control layout with individual volume and tone controls and a three-way toggle.Completing the unusual formula is a 6-saddle vintage-style Adjusto-Matic bridge with anchored tailpiece, aged-white witch-hat knobs, custom cream Cabronita-style pickguard, nickel/chrome hardware and oversized Fender headstock.It is a fascinating combination: unmistakably Fender in feel and construction, but with mahogany, maple, dual humbuckers, four controls and a stop-tail bridge configuration that gives the Troublemaker an entirely different personality from a conventional Telecaster.ConditionThis example is in Excellent collector-grade condition and presents exceptionally well for a 2018 lacquer-finished instrument.The Ice Tea Burst top remains beautiful and glossy, the binding and plastics are extremely clean, the hardware presents very nicely, and the neck, fingerboard and headstock show evidence of exceptionally careful ownership. There are only very light superficial surface/handling marks consistent with careful use and storage, including some fine surface marks on the back that can be seen under strong direct natural light.There are no known cracks, breaks or repairs.The extensive photographs were intentionally taken in bright natural light from multiple angles to show the instrument accurately.
