About this listing
Really fun little strat here for the project guy or set-it-and-forget-it strat player alike. I've owned this since 2022. It came to me as part of a larder trade with a little fret wear so I leveled and crowned it, smoothed out the fret ends and rolled fretboard edge, and polished the frets. The result was great, and while it's not a Suhr or D'Pergo neck in tolerance, it's a really nice big-head Fender neck that just works. Nitro finish felt amazing, and it played and sounded great mated with the original Wine Red body, so it worked out well for the last few years with a Guitar Mill body. I've since picked up another neck that I spent some hours on, and threw that on the GM body, and quite honestly forgot that I still had the original body for the neck! So I put it all back together with some high quality parts from Amazon (balling on a budget!) and the result is absolutely nothing to sneer at - it's a helluva USA strat, with what I feel is a unique yet classy look. I'll go through the parts and specs below, but feel free to give me a shout if any questions!-USA Highway One nitrocellulose body and neck with copper shielded body and back cavity - really tames the electromagnetic interference. Routed for HSS from the factory, which is nice to have.-Musiclily Ultra 56mm (2-7/32 inch) American Vintage Style 6-Screw ST Tremolo Bridge with Steel Bent Saddles 42mm Solid Brass Block Push-In Arm (really impressed with this bridge, especially for the dough, the solid brass block does wonders for the sustain)-Fender locking tuners-Banworks 3Ply Loaded SSS Pickguard Vintage F '60s Prewired Strat Pickguard with Staggered Alnico 5 SSS Single Coil Pickups for Fender Stratocaster Style (another pleasant surprise, these pickups actually sound fantastic in every position. The neck and middle are particularly impressive, but that's where I live on strats anyways!)Condition-wise, it could use a polishing on the body to knock down some of the scratches, but is otherwise in nice shape for a 20 year-old guitar. I left it as-is because the vintage patina went well with the aged Mario Martin knobs and vintage white guard. The whole guitar has a played-in patina that is a bit addicting. There are some dents and scratches but as you can tell from the pics it presents very well. There are still some light divots at the early frets, but the level/crown took care of most of the uglies, and there's still a lot of "meat" left on the frets. I played this guitar quite a bit, but it has not been abused. I have a ton of sweat and parts cost into it, but I'm selling for what I feel is an appropriate price hopeful that it goes to a good home :)Please note, I forgot the strap pins before taking the pics, but matching black pins have since been added!I can include a Gator tweed HSC or Flight Case for an additional $100, otherwise it will ship well-packed and insured. Feel free to reach out if any questions!
