The Fender Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster in Black is a U.S.-made electric guitar from Fender's Artist Series modelled after Eric Clapton's famous "Blackie" Strat. It features a select alder body with a gloss urethane finish and a bolt-on maple neck with a Soft "V" profile. The maple fingerboard has 22 vintage-style frets, a 9.5-inch radius, and the guitar uses a 25.5-inch scale length with a 1.650-inch nut width.
Electronics consist of three Vintage Noiseless Stratocaster single-coil pickups in an SSS configuration. Controls include master volume, a TBX tone control, and an active mid-boost circuit capable of up to 25 dB of gain, along with a 5-way blade selector switch. The mid-boost system allows thicker, more powerful tones while maintaining the clarity associated with Stratocaster single-coil pickups.
Hardware includes a blocked American Vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage-style tuning machines, chrome hardware, and a 1-ply white pickguard. The bridge is factory-blocked to increase tuning stability and sustain, reflecting Eric Clapton's preferred setup.
