  • Bassman-tastic!

Full, rich, speakers are like mile-deep! Loud, break up not soon or at low volumes. Hook up a boost or attenuator. Takes pedals very well! I just use a Fender Am. Std. Stratocaster, reverb, tube screamer, and second overdrive set dark and gainy for thick sustain for blues. Getting Hendrix tones real easy on this!

  • That Fender tone you are looking for.

That Fender tone you are looking for. A bit of reverb and tiny bit of drive and you are there. I had a BDR and Princeton...had. The combo of warm and high tone only a proper Fender can provide.

What a combo 59 bassman and 4003 s bass So much warmth compared to BXR 300.Not as loud but warmer tube sound.Hope to be able to get more out of the 59 with some tube changes. Any one know what tubes would beef it up as a bass amp? To reduce the tendancy for early breakup.

Managed to finally upgrade from a Fender Blues Deluxe to the Fender Bassman; it is a blast! Although I really love my Blues Deluxe RI this one really kills it when it comes to that gnarly full volume, full bodied crunch tone that I am after. Run it either without pedals or through a good OD or fuzz it is amazing.
