This EVH ‘78 Eruption Relic Artist Proof Prototype (serial # 61071) was made by Charvel/Jackson Custom Shop. Charvel/Jackson Custom Shop, in conjunction with EVH Gear, made several prototype examples that were examined and played by Edward Van Halen as a template for the limited edition run of this iconic instrument. It has the look and feel of the original one that Edward made when Van Halen was selling out clubs throughout Southern California in the late 1970’s.
